MDU Resources Names Hastings CEO of Pipeline Business

MDU Resources Group, Inc. (NYSE: MDU) today announced that Trevor J. Hastings has been named president and CEO of WBI Holdings Inc., the company’s pipeline and energy services business. His appointment is effective Oct. 16.

“Trevor has been with MDU Resources for 21 years, primarily in leadership and business development roles,” said David L. Goodin, president and CEO of MDU Resources. “He has broad knowledge of our corporation, having held executive positions at a number of our companies, including president of the energy services division at Knife River Corporation. With the help of the strong senior leadership team at WBI Holdings, Trevor will do an excellent job guiding the growth at our pipeline business.”

Hastings joined MDU Resources in 1996 as a regulatory analyst at the company’s utility business. He has held roles of increasing responsibility within MDU Resources’ independent power production business, corporate office and construction materials business. Most recently, he held the position of vice president of business development and operations support at Knife River Corporation. Hastings, a native of Jamestown, North Dakota, has a bachelor’s degree in business economics from the University of North Dakota. He and his wife make their home in Mandan, North Dakota.

Goodin had been serving as the interim president and CEO at WBI Holdings, in addition to his position at MDU Resources, since May 2017.
